Northlight Consultancy was created to give charities and community organisations access to thoughtful, practical support without the complexity or formality that can sometimes come with consultancy.
The focus is simple: understand what an organisation is trying to achieve, bring clarity to the questions in front of it and help turn good intentions into practical next steps.
Northlight works particularly well with small and medium-sized organisations that value straightforward advice, useful thinking, and support that feels collaborative rather than imposed.
Northlight was founded and is led by Michael Beasley.
My background spans charity administration, fundraising, governance and organisational development, alongside experience of running projects, building relationships and helping organisations communicate what they do more clearly.
I set up Northlight because I believe good consultancy should feel useful from the outset. That means listening properly, asking the right questions and producing work that people can actually use — not reports that simply sit on a shelf.
I bring a calm, practical approach to the work and I’m comfortable helping organisations address difficult questions, explore new ideas or simply work out what needs to happen next.
